One of the reasons we all joined this flying club was to learn and gain a deep understanding about the plane we fly, and performing one of the dozens of maintenance items you can do as an aircraft owner/pilot (see FAA publication P-8740-15), is a good way do that. On Jan 7 Lyman and Kieran braved the torrential downpours of 2023 to get to the hangar and complete the regular 50-hour oil and filter change, cutting open the expended filter to look for debris and collecting an oil sample to be sent off for analysis. If this seems interesting or even fun to you, and you're looking for economical flying in a nice plane with a newly-updated panel, contact us. We're an active club with lots of social and educational opportunities.
